Die Bangladesh Nationalist Party (Bengalisch: বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল, Bāṃlādeś Jātīẏatābādī Dal, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Dal) ist eine politische Partei in Bangladesch.

Die Partei gilt als religiös-konservativ.[1] Vorsitzende ist die Witwe des Gründers Khaleda Zia.[2]

Geschichte

Die Bangladesh Nationalist Party wurde am 1. September 1978 vom ehemaligen Präsidenten Ziaur Rahman gegründet. Seither hat sie wiederholt das Land regiert. Neben der Awami-Liga gehört sie seither zu den beiden führenden Parteien des Landes.[3]
