Die USS Connecticut (BB-18) war ein Schlachtschiff der United States Navy und Typschiff der Connecticut-Klasse, das nach dem fünften US-Bundesstaat benannt wurde.

Die Kiellegung erfolgte am 10. März 1903 in Brooklyn (New Jersey) auf dem Gelände der New York Navy Yard. Der Stapellauf erfolgte am 29. Dezember 1904, die Indienststellung am 29. September 1906.

Geschichte

Bei einem ersten Umbau 1910/11 erhielt das Schiff den für US-amerikanische Schlachtschiffe typischen Gittermast. 1917/18 wurden die 7-Zoll-(178-mm)-Schnellfeuerkanonen sowie ein Teil der 3-Zoll-(76,2-mm)-Geschütze ausgebaut. An einem Kriegseinsatz war das Schiff niemals beteiligt. 1924 wurde die USS Connecticut (BB-18) aus der Flottenliste gestrichen und danach abgewrackt.
