Bellings ist ein Stadtteil von Steinau an der Straße im Main-Kinzig-Kreis in Osthessen im Bundesland Hessen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

Lage

Bellings liegt im Nordosten des Main-Kinzig-Kreises etwa vier Kilometer östlich des Hauptortes.

Nachbarorte

Bellings grenzt im Norden an den Ort Niederzell, im Westen an den Ort Hohenzell, im Süden an den Gutsbezirk Spessart und im Westen an Steinau.

Geschichte

Die Ansiedlung wurde schon 800 n. Chr. gegründet, aber erstmals geschichtlich erwähnt wurde der Ort im Jahr 1167. Im 17. Jahrhundert kam es wiederholt zu Überfällen auf den Ort.

Sehenswürdigkeiten

  • Bellinger Warte, ein im Mittelalter errichteter Turm, der heute als Aussichtsturm dient.
