Atta Mohammad Noor (* ca. 1965) ist der Gouverneur der Provinz Balch in Afghanistan.[1] Er wurde im Spätherbst 2004 von Staatspräsident Hamid Karzai auf seinen Posten erhoben. Der tadschikische Atta steht in direktem Machtkampf mit dem usbekischen General Abdul Raschid Dostum. Er war vor der sowjetischen Invasion Lehrer, dann Mudschaheddin und später ein Kommandeur der Nordallianz.
