CHEP (Akronym für Commonwealth Handling Equipment Pool) ist ein Logistik-Unternehmen, das sich auf das Pooling von Paletten und Behältern spezialisiert hat. Das Unternehmen wurde 1945 von der australischen Commonwealth-Regierung gegründet und gehört heute zum australisch-britischen Dienstleistungsanbieter Brambles.

Konzernstruktur

Der Hauptsitz von CHEP befindet sich in Orlando/Florida, die Europa-Zentrale ist in Weybridge/GB. Die 1985 gegründete Chep Deutschland GmbH ist in Köln ansässig. Das Unternehmen ist global in drei Regionen aufgeteilt; jede Region ist einem Group President unterstellt. CHEP ist in 45 Ländern vertreten. Mehr als 300 Millionen Paletten und Ladungsträger werden über 440 Service-Center an über 345.000 Kunden vermietet[1]. Mehr als 7.000 Mitarbeiter werden beschäftigt. CHEP erbrachte 2009/2010 69 Prozent des Gesamtumsatzes von Brambles.
