Dorodango: Ein Dorodango in früher Entstehungsphase.

Dorodango (泥 doro Matsch, *だんご; dango zusammengepresster Ball) ist eine japanische Kunstform, in der aus einfacher Erde und Wasser eine perfekte, glänzende Kugel erstellt wird. Vom Aussehen ist sie vergleichbar mit einer Murmel oder einer Billardkugel.

Herstellung

Unter Zugabe von Wasser wird aus einfacher Erde eine Kugel geformt. Auf der Oberfläche dieser Kugel werden in mehreren Arbeitsschritten so lange immer feinere Sandpartikel aufgebracht bis aus mangelnder Feuchtigkeit auf der Oberfläche keine Partikel mehr haften bleiben können. Die glänzende Oberfläche entsteht ohne die Kugel zu polieren.
