Ira Glass (* 3. März 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland) ist ein US-amerikanischer Produzent und Hörfunkmoderator. Er studierte an der Northwestern University in Evanston und an der Brown University in Providence, wo er 1982 in Semiotik graduierte. Seine Rundfunkkarriere begann Glass als Praktikant beim Radionetzwerk National Public Radio. Dort arbeitete er später auch als Reporter und Moderator für verschiedene Sendungen. Glass lud David Sedaris ein, seine Essays im NPR vorzutragen und begründete so Sedaris' Erfolg als unabhängiger Autor.[1]

Seit 1995 moderiert und produziert er die vielfach ausgezeichnete Hörfunksendung This American Life. Sie erreicht mehr als 1,7 Millionen Hörer über mehr als 500 Sender, mit einer durchschnittlichen Hördauer von 48 Minuten.

Der Komponist Philipp Glass ist ein Cousin seines Vaters.
