Jesus Tuquib

Jesus B. Tuquib (* 27. Juni 1930 in Clarin, Misamis Occidental, Philippinen) ist emeritierter Erzbischof von Cagayan de Oro.

Leben

Jesus B. Tuquib empfing am 14. März 1959 die Priesterweihe.

Papst Paul VI. ernannte ihn am 24. Februar 1973 zum Bischof von Pagadian. Die Bischofsweihe spendete ihm der Bischof von Tagbilaran, Manuel Mascariñas y Morgia, am 29. Mai desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren waren Lino R. Gonzaga y Rasdesales, Erzbischof von Zamboanga, und Felix Sanchez Zafra, Bischof von Dipolog.

Am 31. März 1984 berief ihn Papst Johannes Paul II. zum Koadjutorerzbischof von Cagayan de Oro ernannt und am 31. Mai desselben Jahres in das Amt eingeführt. Nach der Emeritierung von Patrick H. Cronin SSCME folgte er diesem am 5. Januar 1988 im Amt des Erzbischofs von Cagayan de Oro nach. Am 4. März 2006 nahm Papst Benedikt XVI. sein aus Altersgründen vorgebrachtes Rücktrittsgesuch an.
