Verwendung

Die Website erlaubt den Benutzern, Dateien mit einer Größe von bis zu 200 MB kostenlos hochzuladen. Der zur Verfügung stehende Speicherplatz ist dabei nicht begrenzt. Der Benutzer erhält dann eine spezielle URL für die Datei, mit der jeder die Datei herunterladen kann, der den Link besitzt.

Rezeption

Das PC Magazine nannte MediaFire eine von den „Top 100 Undiscovered websites“ und „Top Website of 2008“ (Beste Website 2008).[1][2]
