[2] The Winners hieß eine deutsche Band, die neben Sänger und Songwriter Wolfgang Jass, der bereits als Autor der Goombay Dance Band erfolgreich war, aus vier Backgroundsängerinnen bestand. Zwischen 1988 und 1995 erschienen diverse Singles der Gruppe. Go for Gold, das 1988 für die Olympischen Sommerspiele in Seoul geschrieben wurde, avancierte zum ersten und einzigen Hit und stieg im Oktober des Jahres in die Charts in Deutschland (Platz 3) und der Schweiz (Platz 20).
