Die Katholische Universität Peking (Katholische Fu Jen Universität) ist eine 1925 von amerikanischen Benediktiner-Missionaren gegründete Universität in Peking, die sich ab 1927 Fu Jen Universität nennt. Papst Pius XI. übertrug am 29. April 1933 der Gesellschaft des Göttlichen Wortes die Leitung der Universität.[1] Rudolf Rahmann war seit 1936 ihr Rektor.[2]. Davor war es Alfred Joseph Koch. 1949 wurde die Universität von der Volksrepublik China beschlagnahmt und 1952 in die Pädagogische Universität Peking eingegliedert.

Die Universität wurde 1960 in Taipeh durch die Chinesische Bischofskonferenz in Taiwan neugegründet.

Im weltweiten Ranking von Times Higher Education im Jahr 2006 lag die Katholische Fu Jen Universität auf Platz 417 und im Jahr 2008 auf Platz 533.[3] Sie ist damit Taiwans beste Privatuniversität und gehört zu den Top Ten der Universitäten in Taiwan.
