Full Battle Dress nennt man die Paradeuniform der schottischen Highland Regimenter.

Bestandteile

Zum Full Battle Dress gehören im Unterschied zur "normalen" Uniform das zum Kilt getragene Doublet (eine schwere gold- oder silberbetresste Uniformjacke), das Plaid (ein um die Brust und Schulter gewickelter Umhang), sowie der Feather Bonnet, (eine aus Straußenfedern hergestellte Kopfbedeckung).

Dudelsackspieler tragen zum Full Battle Dress zusätzlich die Regimental Sporrans (Militärsporrans, kleine Taschen mit einem Besatz aus Pferdehaaren). Auch der Dirk, die leichte dolchartige Stichwaffe eines Pipers gehört wie die Spats, die Gamaschen zur vollständigen Uniform.[1]

Denkmale

Im schottischen Glenfinnan steht eine 1815 errichtete Säule zu Ehren Alexander Macdonald of Glenaladale mit einem Clansman im Full Battler Dress.[2]
