Der Begriff der Humanities ist eine im englischen Sprachraum verbreitete Wissenschaftskategorisierung. Er ist nicht mit dem Begriff der Humanwissenschaften identisch und umfasst jene Wissenschaften, die sich mit der Conditio Humana auseinandersetzen, ohne sich dabei auf empirische Methoden zu beschränken.

Insofern die Humanities traditionell die Klassische Altertumswissenschaft, Geschichte, Sprachen, Rechtswissenschaften, Literatur, Philosophie und Theologie umfassen, ähneln sie stark dem Begriff der Geisteswissenschaften; anders als diese enthalten sie aber auch Darstellende und Bildende Künste.

Neuere Definitionen des Begriffes schließen auch verschiedene Sozialwissenschaften ein.
