Lee Grant (* 31. Oktober 1927 in New York City; eigentlich Lyova Haskell Rosenthal) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin und Regisseurin.

Leben und Werk

Lee Grant wurde für ihr Filmdebüt 1952 in Polizeirevier 21 für den Oscar als beste Nebendarstellerin nominiert und erhielt für diese eher kleine Rolle den Darstellerpreis bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes 1952. Neben zwei weiteren Nominierungen für Der Hausbesitzer (1970) und Reise der Verdammten (1976) gewann sie den Oscar 1975 für ihre Rolle in Shampoo. Außerdem agierte sie auch in Fernsehrollen und gewann zwei Emmys, 1964 als beste Nebendarstellerin in Peyton Place und 1971 als beste Schauspielerin in The Neon Ceiling. 1987 wirkte sie im Film Chicago Blues mit. Lee Grant führt auch Regie, vorwiegend in Dokumentationen (Prominentenportraits).

Lee Grant war in erster Ehe von 1951 bis 1960 mit dem Drehbuchautor Arnold Manoff verheiratet und hat eine Tochter (Dinah Manoff, * 25. Januar 1958). In zweiter Ehe ist sie seit 1962 mit dem Produzenten Joseph Feury verheiratet.
