Colin Mochrie

Colin Andrew Mochrie (* 30. November 1957 in Kilmarnock) ist ein kanadischer Schauspieler schottischen Ursprungs und eine Ikone auf dem Gebiet der Improvisationscomedy. Er steht bereits seit 25 Jahren auf der Bühne.

Mochrie zog mit seiner Familie 1964 nach Kanada. Dort war er Mitglied der berühmten, 1973 in Toronto gegründeten Improvisationscomedy-Show The Second City Television, wo er auch als Co-Autor tätig war. Damit gelang ihm der landesweite Durchbruch.

Nach neun erfolgreichen Jahren als Stammgast in der englischen Fernsehshow Whose Line Is It Anyway?, wurde er Stammgast in der US-amerikanischen Version der Sendung auf ABC. Zur gleichen Zeit wurde er auch Mitglied der kanadischen Comedyserien Blackfly und Supertown Challenge.
