Mygale

Mygale ist ein französischer Hersteller von einsitzigen Rennwagen. Alle aktuellen Formel-BMW-Fahrzeuge kommen von Mygale.

Die Firma begann 1989 mit dem Bau eines Formel-Ford-Chassis. Firmengründer war Bertrand Decoster. Später wurden auch Wagen der Markenformeln Renault, Formel BMW, Formel US 2000 und der in Portugal gebräuchlichen Formule Novis hergestellt.

Bekannte Fahrer, die auf einem Mygale fuhren, sind unter anderem Nico Rosberg und Kimi Räikkönen.

Seit 2000 ist der Firmensitz in unmittelbarer Nähe des Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. Auch beim Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry ist eine Niederlassung angesiedelt, wo ca. 7000 Fahrer im Jahr eine Schulung oder Vergnügungsfahrt auf einem der firmeneigenen Formel Ford unternehmen.

2006 begann man mit dem Bau von Formel-3-Fahrzeugen. Nach Aussage der Firma will man in Zukunft auch Autos für das Indy 500 und das 24-Stunden-Rennen von Le Mans herstellen.
