PIMCO, die Pacific Investment Management Company, LLC, ist eine Kapitalanlagegesellschaft, die sich auf verzinsliche Wertpapiere (Anleihen, Renten, engl. Bonds) spezialisiert hat. Sie wurde 1971 in Newport Beach, Kalifornien, gegründet und ist inzwischen mit über 500 Milliarden EUR Anlagevermögen eine der größten Unternehmen in diesem Segment. PIMCO ist eine 100%-ige Tochter der Allianz Global Investors of America L.P., die wiederum zu ca. 97 % der Allianz SE und ca. 3 % der Pacific Life gehört.
Bekannt ist PIMCO unter anderem durch den PIMCO Total Return, dem derzeit größten Rentenfonds der Welt, sowie durch dessen Fondsmanager Bill Gross. In Deutschland fungiert PIMCO als Anlageberater für Rentenfonds von Allianz Global Investors.
