Paramount Comedy Channel

Paramount Comedy ist ein Tochtersender von Viacom und überwiegend in europäischen Ländern vertreten.

Berichten zufolge wollte Viacom den Musiksender VIVA PLUS zum 15. Januar 2007 in Paramount Comedy umwandeln. Jedoch entschied man sich für Comedy Central, welches bisher nur in den USA und in Polen betrieben wurde. In Großbritannien werden Ableger unter den Namen Paramount 2 und Paramount 3 verbreitet. Zudem sendet Paramount Comedy auch landesspezifische Versionen in Spanien und Italien. In Italien ist Paramount Comedy am 1. Mai 2007 durch Comedy Central ersetzt worden.

Paramount Comedy wird via Bezahlfernsehen verbreitet und zeigt zumeist Archivware; Fernsehserien machen dabei den Großteil des Programms aus.
