Paremoremo ist eine ländliche Gemeinde westlich von Albany im Bereich nördlich von Auckland in Neuseeland.

Paremoremo war eine kleine Gemeinde am Waitemata Harbour, in der nach dem Bau eines Kais am Fuße der Attwood Road eine europäische Siedlung wuchs. Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts war der Ort für seine Farmen, Marktgärten und Obstgärten bekannt. Passagiere und Ladung wurden mit Barkassen und kleinen Fähren in die Stadt gebracht.

Heute ist der Ort jedoch eher bekannt als Standort von Neuseelands einzigen Hochsicherheitsgefängnis. Dieses wurde Mitte der 1960er Jahre als Paremoremo Prison gebaut und in den 1990ern in Auckland Prison umbenannt. Allerdings gilt der Ort trotzdem als beliebte Wohngegend in Reichweite des Stadtzentrums von Auckland und nur 8 Minuten vom wachsenden Zentrum Albany) entfernt.
