Power Corporation of Canada ist ein kanadisches Unternehmen mit Firmensitz in Montreal.
Das Unternehmen wurde 1925 von Arthur J. Nesbitt und seinem Geschäftspartner Peter Thompson gegründet. 1952 folgte der Sohn Arthur Deane Nesbitt an die Leitungsspitze des Unternehmens. 1968 wurde das Unternehmen an die Unternehmensgruppe vom Kanadier Paul Desmarais veräußert. [2]
Power Corporation of Canada ist als Gesellschaft an verschiedenen Unternehmen beteiligt. Zum Unternehmen gehört unter anderem das kanadische Tochterunternehmen Gesca Limitée, das unter anderem die kanadische Zeitung La Tribune in Québec herausbringt. Mehrheitlich wird auch das kanadische Unternehmen Power Financial Corporation kontrolliert.
