Der Siemens Sector Energy entstand am 1. Januar 2008 als einer der drei Sektoren der Siemens AG und wird geleitet von Wolfgang Dehen als CEO.[1] Ralf Guntermann wurde als CFO benannt.[2]

Der neue Sector Energy[3] setzt sich aus den bisherigen Unternehmensbereichen Siemens Power Generation (PG) und Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) sowie dem Geschäftsgebiet Oil, Gas, Marine Solutions des ehemaligen Siemens-Bereiches Industrial Solutions & Services zusammen.
