Preseason

Preseason wird die Zeit vor der eigentlichen Saison in den nordamerikanischen Profi-Ligen genannt, in der Mannschaften trainieren, Verträge abschließen und Vorbereitungsspiele absolvieren (in der National Football League sind vier Spiele festgelegt). In der Regel spielen in der Preseason in erster Linie Ersatz- und Auswechselspieler, sowie junge Talente. Die Spieler in der Startformation stehen jedoch ebenfalls bei ein paar Spielen auf dem Feld (in der NFL vorzugsweise in der ersten Saisonhälfte).
