Queensland Roar FC ist ein Fußballclub aus Brisbane, Australien. Der Club spielt derzeit in der A-League und gehörte dort in den vergangenen Spielzeiten nicht zu den stärksten Teams.

Geschichte

Queensland Roar wurde gegründet als Brisbane Hollandia, später dann umbenannt in Brisbane Lions. Dieser Club bekam 2004 die Lizenz, ein Team für die A-League in Brisbane aufzubauen, noch vor den damals etablierteren Brisbane Strikers

Als Trikotfarben dominieren orange und dunkelrot. Dunkelrot ist eine traditionelle Farbe für Teams aus Queensland. Und orange symbolisiert die Verbundenheit zur niederländischen Tradition, da der Club als Brisbane Lions hauptsächlich von niederländischen Einwanderern gegründet wurde.
