Die Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) wurde 1915 gegründet, um die höchsten Standards der Radiologie und verwandter Wissenschaften in Lehre und Forschung voranzubringen und zu entwickeln. 41.000 Röntgenologen, Mitarbeiter in den Röntgenabteilungen, Techniker und Industrievertreter sind zur Zeit Mitglieder der RSNA.
Die RSNA veröffentlicht die Zeitschriften Radiology und RadioGraphics. Seit 1919 verleiht sie jährlich bis zu drei Goldmedaillen an Personen, die sich um die radiologische Wissenschaft verdient gemacht haben.
Nach der Organisation, die der Veranstalter ist, wird auch der "RSNA", der jährliche, weltgrösste und wichtigste Radiologenkongress in Chicago benannt. Dieser findet immer in der Woche nach Thanksgiving, also vom letzten Novemberwochenende an, statt
Sitz der RSNA ist in Oak Brook, Illinois.
