Ranipettai (Tamil: இராணிப்பேட்டை, Irāṇippēṭṭai; [(ɨ)ˈɾɑːɳipːeːʈːɛi̯]; Englisch: Ranipet) ist eine Stadt mit etwa 47.200 Einwohner (Zensus 2001) im Distrikt Vellore im indischen Bundesstaat Tamil Nadu. Sie liegt an der Straßenverbindung Chennai-Bengaluru, ungefähr 100 Kilometer von Chennai entfernt.

In Ranippettai sind viele kleinindustrielle Betriebe der chemischen, Leder- und Werkzeugmacherindustrie angesiedelt. Das größte staatliche Unternehmen ist das Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) der BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited).

Der Ort gilt als Negativbeispiel für Grundwasserverschmutzung mit Schwermetallen.[2]
