Ray Anthony Lewis (* 15. Mai 1975 in Bartow, Florida) ist ein US-amerikanischer Footballspieler. Er spielt die Position Linebacker für die Baltimore Ravens in der National Football League (NFL). Seine Trikotnummer ist die 52.

Football-Karriere

Ray Lewis spielte für die University of Miami, bevor er im Jahr 1996 nach vier Jahren in der College-Liga (NCAA) durch den Entry Draft, die jährliche Verpflichtung der Collegespieler von NFL-Teams, in die NFL gelangte. Die Baltimore Ravens verwendeten ihren „Draft Choice“ (Verpflichtungswunsch) der ersten Runde für ihn. In seiner Karriere als „Middle Linebacker“ bei den Ravens hat er bereits über 1.000 Tackles erzielt. 2001 gewann er mit den Ravens den Super Bowl und wurde zum MVP des Spiels ernannt. 2000 und 2003 wurde er zum „Defensive Player of the Year“ der NFL gewählt.

Er ist auf dem Cover des Videospiels Madden 2005 von EA Sports abgebildet.
