Real Time Kinematic

Echtzeitkinematik (engl. Real Time Kinematic, RTK) bezeichnet ein Verfahren zur präzisen Bestimmung von Positionskoordinaten, meist in Verbindung mit Satellitennavigation (GNSS).

Es handelt sich um ein differentielles Verfahren, das die Phase des Trägersignals auswertet. Die präzisen Positionen werden wie beim Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS; verallgemeinert Differential Global Navigation Satellite System, DGNSS) relativ zu Referenzstationen mit festgelegten Koordinaten bestimmt. DGNSS-Verfahren erreichen eine Ortauflösung im Meter- oder Submeterbereicht. RTK ist um den Faktor genauer, den die Trägerfrequenz höher ist als die Datenrate. Jedoch ist die genaue Phasenzuordnung unsicher, die eine Mehrdeutigkeit des Vielfachen einer Phasenläge verursacht. Beispielsweise erhält man bei GNSS alle 20cm die gleichen Positionswerte, diese aber hochgenau besser als 1mm.
