SENSEX 30 ist der bekannteste und wichtigste Aktienindex an der Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in Indien.

Der Aktienindex führt die 30 größten Unternehmen auf, die an der Börse in Bombay gehandelt werden. Diese 30 Unternehmen bilden rund 1/5 der Marktkapitalisierung an der BSE.

Die Abkürzung „Sensex“ für den Finanzindex stammt von Deepak Mohoni von 1990, als dieser Analysen in Wirtschaftszeitungen und -magazinen schrieb.
