SIM-Cloning

SIM-Cloning bezeichnet das Kopieren von SIM-Karten. Dies kann z. B. sinnvoll sein, um mehrere Mobiltelefone benutzen zu können, ohne die SIM tauschen zu müssen. Der Versuch des SIM-Cloning ist eine technische Spielerei, andererseits die Reaktion auf die Tatsache, dass viele Provider auch nicht gegen Aufpreis Zweitkarten zur Verfügung stellen.

Das Verfahren ist in Deutschland möglicherweise nicht legal, da dazu die Verschlüsselung auf der SIM-Karte beim Auslesen geknackt werden muss, was technisch in Deutschland nur noch mit alten Karten möglich ist, da die seit 2002 üblichen V2-Karten noch nicht entschlüsselt worden sind.
