Die Saddleback Church (Saddleback Valley Community Church) ist eine eigenständige Gemeinde (non-denonminational church) in Lake Forest, Orange County, Kalifornien. Sie ist ein Mitglied der Southern Baptist Convention[1]. Die Gemeinde wurde 1980 von Rick Warren gegründet, der sie auch heute noch leitet.

Bekannt wurden Rick Warren und seine Gemeinde durch den Bestseller "Leben mit Vision" (Originaltitel: The Purpose Driven Life), den er 2002 geschrieben hat. Er wurde in 56 Sprachen übersetzt und war in den Jahren 2003-2005 das meistverkaufte Buch der Welt.

Am 6. April 1980 fand an Ostern der erste öffentliche Gottesdienst mit 200 Besuchern im Laguna Hills High School Theater statt. Anfang der 1990er Jahre fanden 2.300 Gottesdienstbesucher in einem Zelt auf dem Lake Forest Campus Platz, bis 1995 endlich ein fester Bau fertiggestellt worden ist, mit 3.500 Sitzplätzen.

Heute ist die Saddleback Church mit durchschnittlich fast 20.000 Gottesdienstbesuchern die achtgrößte Kirche in den USA. Sie ist auf fünf Säulen gebaut: Gemeinschaft, Jüngerschaft, Dienst, Evangelisation und Anbetung.
