Silivri (thrakisch Selymbria, griechisch Σηλυβρία, Silivria) ist eine türkische Hafenstadt in der Provinz Istanbul in Ostthrakien.

Der Stadtname wurde von dem byzantinischen Herrscher Arcadius (377-404), nach seiner Frau Aelia Eudoxia zeitweilig in Eudoxiopolis geändert.

Silivri liegt an der Hauptstraße von Istanbul nach Tekirdağ an der Küste des Marmarameer. Die Küste um Silivri ist mit Istanbuler Wochenendhäusern bebaut.

Sehenswürdigkeiten

In Silivri begann die byzantinische Anastasische Mauer des Anastasios I. (491 - 518 n. Chr.) welche ungefähr bis Kıyıköy am Schwarzen Meer reichte. Teile der Mauer sind erhalten.
