Das Stanford Research Institute (SRI) ist ein amerikanisches naturwissenschaftlich orientiertes Forschungsinstitut bei San Francisco.

Das Stanford Research Institute wurde 1946 nahe der Stanford-Universität und in Zusammenarbeit mit ihr gegründet. Sitz ist die Kleinstadt Menlo Park im San Mateo County, Kalifornien.

Geleitet wird das Institut von Curtis Carlson. Bekannt ist das Institut durch die Entwicklung der Computermaus 1964, außerdem gehörte es 1969 zu den ersten 4 Knoten des Internets.
