Stanley Ho (* 25. November 1921) ist ein chinesischer Unternehmer aus Hong Kong und Macau. Nach Angaben des Magazins Forbes in der Liste Greater China Billionaires gehört Ho zu den zehn reichsten Chinesen. [1]

Ho studierte am Queen's College in Hong Kong. Er kontrolliert über einen Konzern acht Casinos, unter anderem Casino Lisboa. In den 1960ern besaß er zudem neun Casinos auf den Philippinen. Diese Casinos gab er auf, als er in Konflikt mit dem philippinischen Präsidenten geriet. Neben seinen Casinos besitzt Ho Wettbüros im Fußball, Pferdesport und Hunderennen in China. Über viele Jahre war die Casino- und Unterhaltungsindustrie in Macau weitgehend unter der Kontrolle vom Konzern STDM, der Ho gehört. Diese Ära endete 2000, als die chinesische Lokalregierung von Macau die Unterhaltungsindustrie in Macau neu organisierte und aufteilte.

Als Polygamist ist Ho mit vier Frauen verheiratet und hat 17 Kinder. Die Sängerin und Schauspielerin Josie Ho ist eine Tochter von ihm.

2003 erhielt Ho den Gold Bauhinia Star von Hong Kong.

Auch als Gourmet sorgt Stanley Ho immer wieder für Schlagzeilen: Nachdem er bereits 2007 330.000 US-Dollar für einen 1,5 Kilogramm schweren Trüffel bei einer Auktion zahlte, sicherte er sich auch 2008 für 200.000 US-Dollar einen 1080 Gramm schweren Trüffel. [2]
