Sterilization in Place

Sterilization in Place (SIP), deutsch: Sterilisierung vor Ort, bezeichnet Reinigungsverfahren in verfahrenstechnischen Anlagen (insbes. pharmazeutischen Produktionsanlagen, Bio-Anlagen). Dabei wird definitionsgemäß die Anlage ohne wesentliche Demontage auf den produktberührten Flächen gereinigt.

Üblicherweise wird die Sterilisierung durch Heißdampf oder mit Hilfe spezieller Chemikalien durchgeführt.
