The Mover

Marc Acardipane (* 7. April 1969 in Frankfurt am Main; bürgerlicher Name Marc Trauner[1]) ist ein deutscher Musikproduzent und DJ. Er gilt als einer der Begründer des Hardcore Techno.

1990 veröffentlichte Acardipane, dessen Großvater aus Italien stammt[2], mit We Have Arrived unter dem Pseudonym „Mescalinum United“ auf der Reflections Of 2017-EP den allerersten Hardcore Techno-Track. Veröffentlicht wurde dieser auf dem Label Planet Core Productions (PCP), welches Acardipane 1989 zusammen mit Thorsten Lambart (alias Don Demon/Slam Burt) gegründet hatte.

Acardipane veröffentlichte unter vielen weiteren Pseudonymen und landete in der Gabberszene einige Erfolge wie z. B. „6 Million Ways To Die“ (T.urbulence), „Hardcore Muthafucka“ (Nasty Django), „Slaves To The Rave“ (zusammen mit Thorsten Lambart als Inferno Bros) oder „I Like It Loud“ (Marshall Masters feat. The Ultimate MC).

Im Juli/August 2003 erntete Marc Acardipane Kritik aus der Gabberszene, da er zusammen mit seinem MC Dick Rules und der Dance-Band Scooter seinen Mainstyle-Klassiker I Like It Loud als kommerziellere Dance-Version veröffentlichte. 2006 veröffentlichte Acardipane zusammen mit DJ Balloon Go West, eine Coverversion des gleichnamigen Titels von den Pet Shop Boys bzw. Village People. Stilistisch war das Release im Bereich Hands Up angesiedelt (die EP enthielt sogar einen Remix von Special D.). Acardipane legt auch heute noch auf größeren Hardcore Events (u. a. Masters of Hardcore, Thunderdome) als Hardcore DJ auf.
