Thelma Long

Thelma Dorothy Long, geborene Thelma Coyne (* 14. Oktober 1918 in Sydney) ist eine ehemalige australische Tennisspielerin.

Karriere

Sie gewann 1952 und 1954 den Titel im Dameneinzel bei den australischen Tennismeisterschaften (heute Australian Open. Insgesamt siegte sie bei 19 Grand Slam Wettbewerben. Außer den zwei Einzeltiteln gewann sie noch bei den australischen Meisterschaften 12 Mal im Doppel und 4 Mal im Mixed. Weiterhin siegte sie bei den französischen Meisterschaften 1956 im Doppel.

Im Jahr 1941 heiratete sie in Melbourne Maurice Newton Long.
