Tolerable Upper Intake Level

Der Tolerable Upper Intake Level (kurz UL) bezeichnet die maximale langfristige Gesamtzufuhr eines Nährstoffes, die auch für sensitive Personen einer gesunden Bevölkerungsgruppe kein Risiko für die Entwicklung von Gesundheitsbeeinträchtigungen beinhaltet.[1] Dabei bezeichnet der Begriff „Tolerable“ den Zufuhrwert, der mit einer hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit aus biologischer Sicht toleriert werden kann.
