Transparente und leitfähige Oxidschichten sind die Hauptkomponenten für Flachbildschirme und Solarzellen.
Verwendung
Schichten aus Oxiden mit diesen Eigenschaften werden z. B. für die Herstellung transparenter Elektroden in Flüssigkristallbildschirmen, organischen Leuchtdioden und Touchscreens eingesetzt. Auch in schaltbaren Verglasungen oder Dünnschicht-Solarzellen sowie in der Photovoltaik und der Displaytechnik, in der Beleuchtungstechnik, in der Automobiltechnik und der Architekturverglasung finden sie Verwendung.
Hergestellt werden sie entweder durch Aufdampfen im Vakuum oder aber mittels chemischer Verfahren.
Arten
Zu den transparenten leitfähigen Oxiden gehören
- Indiumzinnoxid (Indium Tin Oxide ITO),
- Fluor Tin Oxide (FTO),
- Aluminium Zink Oxide (AZO) und
- Antimony Tin Oxide (ATO).
