Try 'N' B

Try ’N’ B war eine von Frank Farian 1992 gegründete Popgruppe, die aus den Sängern und Sängerinnen Ray Horton, Gina Mohammed, Kevin Weatherspoon und Tracy Ganser bestand.

Keiner von den genannten Gruppenmitgliedern sang auf dem ersten Milli-Vanilli-Album, aber Gina Mohammed und Ray Horton waren Teil von „The Real Milli Vanilli“ und hatten beide Vocalparts auf dem zweiten Album „The Moment Of Truth“.

Das Album der Gruppe erschien international unter dem Titel „Sexy Eyes“. Mit dem Titelsong „Sexy Eyes“, einer Dr.-Hook-Coverversion, konnte die Gruppe einen Chartserfolg erreichen. Weitere Single-Auskopplungen waren die Titel „Tell Me Where It Hurts“ und „Ding Dong“.

In den Vereinigten Staaten erschien das Album mit veränderter Titelliste unter dem Titel „Try 'N' B“.

Farian hatte sich dagegen entschieden, das zweite Milli-Vanilli-Album nach dem Riesenskandal in den USA ebenso wie in Europa unter dem Namen „The Real Milli Vanilli“ zu veröffentlichen und formierte stattdessen „Try 'N' B“, um die Titel des ja bereits fertigen zweiten Milli-Vanilli-Albums auch in den USA irgendwie veröffentlichen zu können. So enthielt die US-Version des „Try 'N' B“-Albums dann auch ganze sieben leicht veränderte Einspielungen von Titeln aus dem „The Real Milli Vanilli“-Album, während auf der internationalen Version des Albums nur 3 dieser Einspielungen enthalten waren, da ja das zweite Milli-Vanilli- Album außerhalb der USA unter „The Real Milli Vanilli“ schon erschienen war.

Es blieb bei einem Album dieses Projekts. Gina Mohammed veröffentlichte in der Folgezeit noch ein Album mit dem Dance-Projekt Loft und nach ihrem Ausstieg aus dem Projekt noch eine Solo-Single namens „Love Is All I See“. Ray Horton tauchte 1999 mit einem Soloalbum namens „First Time“ wieder auf.
