Das UNSCOP (United Nations Special Committee on Palestine) war ein im Mai 1947 auf britische Anfrage hin gegründeter Sonderausschuss der Vereinten Nationen zur Prüfung der Situation in Palästina und zur Erarbeitung von Lösungsvorschlägen, die die dortigen Probleme zwischen Juden und Arabern schlichten sollten. Ein weiteres Thema war die Gründung eines israelitischen Staates, was in den UN-Teilungsplan für Palästina mündete. Der Sonderausschuss setzte sich aus den UN-Mitgliedern Australien, Guatemala, Indien, Iran, Jugoslawien, Kanada, den Niederlanden, Peru, Schweden, Tschechoslowakei und Uruguay zusammen.
