Die Universität von Südafrika (kurz UNISA) ist eine staatliche Fernuniversität in der Republik Südafrika mit Sitz in Pretoria. Sie ist die älteste, und mit rund 250.000 Studenten die größte Fernuniversität Afrikas und zählt damit zu den größten Universitäten der Welt.

Die Universität von Südafrika wurde 1873 als Universität des Kaps der guten Hoffnung gegründet und besitzt neben dem Hauptcampus auch noch regionale Standorte in Durban, Kapstadt, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein und Mafikeng.

Im Bereich des Theologie kooperieren in Deutschland viele Bibelschulen und vorwiegend evangelikale Bildungseinrichtungen mit der UNISA, um ihren Studenten auf diesem Wege akdademische Grade verleihen zu können. Daher ist das Studienprogramm derartiger Bildungseinrichtungen eng mit der Universität von Südafrika abgestimmt.
