Valgusstellung: im Zusammenhang mit Gliedmaßen, z. B. der Beine: Nach außen gekrümmt und/oder gebogen, sogenannte X-Stellung. An den Kniegelenken ergibt das ein X-Bein, die normale X-Stellung von 8 Grad wird überschritten, der laterale Kondylus wird überlastet, im späteren Verlauf kommt es zur Valgus-Gonarthrose.

Coxa valga (Hüftfehlstellung) bedeutet, dass der Schenkelhals zu steil steht, der CCD-Winkel (der Winkel zwischen Hüftkopf, Schenkelhals und Oberschenkelschaft) liegt über 120 Grad. Die Druckauffangzone des Hüftkopfes wird kleiner, das Gelenk ist dann ebenfalls arthrosegefährdet.

Beim Hallux valgus gerät die Großzehe in eine, zum Teil erhebliche Fehlstellung, das Großzehengrundgelenk zeichnet sich als "Ballen" am Fußinnenrand ab, kaum ein Serienschuh passt mehr.

Bei Kindern häufig ist der Knickfuß oder "Pes valgus", das Fersenbein verkippt nach außen, das Sprunggelenk verlagert sich nach innen, das Fußlängsgewölbe flacht ab. Hier ist intensive Physiotherapie zusammen mit korrekt angefertigten Einlagen nötig, um ein weiteres Abrutschen des Fußes zu verhindern.

Im Gegensatz zur Valgusstellung gibt es die Varusstellung.
