WOMAD („World of Music, Arts and Dance“) ist der Überbegriff für die WOMAD-Festivals, bei denen Musik, Kunst und Tanz aus verschiedenen Kulturen aufgeführt wird. Die Geschichte von WOMAD wurde vor allem durch Peter Gabriel maßgeblich beeinflusst. Das erste WOMAD-Festival fand im Jahr 1982 in Shepton Mallett, England statt. Seit diesem Zeitpunkt wurden in aller Welt rund 145 Veranstaltungen in 22 verschiedenen Ländern durchgeführt.

WOMAD war am 2. Juli 2005 auch maßgeblich am Africa-Calling-Konzert im Rahmen der Live-8-Veranstaltungen in Cornwall beteiligt.
