Zsuzsi Kormoczy

Zsuzsa Körmöczy [ˈʒuʒɒ ˈkørmøtsi] (* 25. August 1924; † 16. September 2006) war eine ungarische Tennisspielerin.

Sie gewann 1958 in Roland Garros (den Französischen Tennismeisterschaften, heute French Open) das Endspiel gegen die Vorjahressiegerin Shirley Bloomer mit 6:4, 1:6 und 6:2. Im Jahre 1958 erreichte sie auch den dritten Platz in Wimbledon und war zu diesem Zeitpunkt Zweite der Tennis-Weltrangliste. Im Jahre 1964 beendete sie ihre aktive Laufbahn, arbeitete als Trainerin für Vasas Budapest und war Managerin des nationalen Tennisbundes. Nach dem Fall des Kommunismus wurde sie von der demokratischen Regierung 1994 und 2003 ausgezeichnet.
