Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) ist der Name des europäischen Telekomregulators. Wie der Name sagt, besteht die Behörde aus Vertretern der 27 nationalen Regulierungsbehörden und ist bei der EU-Kommission angesiedelt, was einige wichtige Staaten bis zuletzt verhindern wollten. Vor allem Deutschland und Spanien wollten BEREC nicht mehr als den Status eines „privaten Vereins“ zubilligen.[1]
