Abbozzo (italienisch für ‚Entwurf‘) ist ein Begriff aus der Malerei und bezeichnet die skizzenhafte erste Form eines noch zu schaffenden Werkes.
Daneben steht es für den monochromen Hintergrund eines Bildes, der aufgetragen wird, bevor das Bild entsteht.
