Die Computec Media AG ist ein in Fürth ansässiges Medienunternehmen. Nach eigenen Angaben erreicht es mit seinen Magazinen, digitalen Medien (DVD) und Webportalen rund um die Welt des Electronic Entertainment jeden Monat ein Millionenpublikum. Computec veröffentlicht Magazine und Online-Portale für den deutschsprachigen Raum.

Das Unternehmen

Die Computec Media AG wurde 1989 gegründet und ist seit 1998 börsennotiert. 2005 wurde die bis dato inhabergeführte Firma durch die schweizer Marquard Media AG Gruppe übernommen. Die Marquard-Gruppe hält derzeit 90,19 % der Aktien. Am 31. März 2009 legte der Vorstandsvorsitzende Johannes Sevket Gözalan sein Mandat nieder, der den Vorsitz des Vorstand im Jahr 2005 von Unternehmensgründer Christian Geltenpoth übernommen hatte. Gözalans Nachfolger ist Albrecht Hengstenberg.

Die erfolgreichsten Titel sind die 1992 gestartete PC Games und die im Jahre 2004 zum ersten mal erschienene SFT. Von der PC Games werden monatlich 192.270 Exemplare verkauft (IVW I/2007), die aktuell verkaufte Auflage der SFT liegt bei 225.426 Heften (IVW I/2007).
