Ein Batting Cage (deutsch: "Schlagkäfig") ist ein Trainingsgerät im Baseball, welches einem Schlagmann zum Training dient.

Es handelt sich um einen geschlossenen rechteckigen Käfig, der von Netzen oder Maschendraht umgeben ist. Der Schlagmann steht dabei auf der einen Seite im Käfig während sich auf der anderen eine Ballwurfmaschine (seltener auch ein echter Pitcher) befindet.

Der Kafig dient dazu die Flugweite des Balles einzugrenzen, so daß diese leicht wieder aufgesammelt werden können. Sie sind meist in Hallen aufgebaut.

Der Boden des Käfig kann geneigt sein, damit die Bälle automatisch zur Maschine zurückrollen.

In kommerziell betriebenen Batting Cages können Bälle in verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten, im Bereich von 48 bis 145 km/h, geworfen werden.
