Viscount Bearsted, of Maidstone in the County of Kent, ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, der von der Familie Samuel geführt wird.

Verleihung

Der Titel wurde im Jahre 1925 für den Unternehmer Marcus Samuel, 1. Baron Bearsted, geschaffen. Dieser war Gründer von The Shell Transport and Trading Company, dem Vorgänger der heutigen Royal Dutch Shell.

Nachgeordneter Titel

Der erste Viscount war bereits 1921 zum Baron Bearsted, of Maidstone in the County of Kent, erhoben worden. Dieser Titel, der ebenfalls zur Peerage of the United Kingdom gehört, wird heute als nachgeordneter Titel geführt.

Weiterer Titel

1903 war für den ersten Viscount eine Baronetswürde geschaffen worden. Auch dieser Titel, der zur Baronetage des Vereinigten Königreichs gehört, wird heute vom jeweiligen Viscount geführt.
