Die British War Medal ist eine britische Auszeichnung für Soldaten, die am Ersten Weltkrieg teilgenommen haben. Sie wurde am 29. Juli 1919 durch König George V. eingeführt.

Verleihungsbedingungen

Um die Medaille erhalten zu können, musste ein Soldat zwischen dem 5. August 1914 und dem 11. November 1918 für mindestens 28 Tage aktiv im Dienst gewesen sein.

Aussehen

Die British War Medal war eine runde silberne Medaille. Auf ihrer Vorderseite war König George V. abgebildet. Die Rückseite zeigte einen Reiter.
